We have a new room!

This Sunday we will be in room 215 in the Adult Sunday School Hallway of the church.
It is on the same level as the library and is at the very end of the hallway on the left.

This week:
  • Sunday School lesson preview from Ralph - During the wandering of the Hebrews in the wilderness (following the Exodus out of Egypt), we find numerous "murmuring stories", where the people shake their fists at God in anger - ungracious behavior to say the least.  Ralph will focus on two of them: (1) Ex. 16:1-16 ("manna from heaven"); and (2) Num. 21:4-9 (poisonous serpents), and explore with the class the question why murmuring in one instance resulted in a gracious response from God and a retributive response in the other.  Finally, he will look into the "snake on the pole" thing - What's that about?
  • Lenton Sermon - Sight (John 9:1-41) What does it mean to really see?  What if what we think of as seeing turns out to be blindness?  How do we "see" Easter?
  • Field day is next weekend!

In other news:
  • We are in need of Sunday School teachers for this summer (June 5th - August 21st).  If you are interested, please contact Lara at lara@fumcaustin.org.
  • The children's ministry team is looking for donations of wrapped candies and plastic eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt and Picnic.  Please leave these goodies in the bunny barrels in the Education Hall and on the breezeway between the Chapel and Sanctuary.
