In the words of the great David Lee Roth, "I don't feel tardy!"
- It's hard to feel tardy, when the whole class is walking in at the same time as you. This is your yearly reminder to try to get to class on time. There is no shame in walking into class late every once in a while (better late than never) but I think we need to start class before 10:15 each week. Just sayin'. As a reminder, our class "starts" at 9:45. This gives us time to set up chairs and visit for a minute before jumping in to the lesson.
- Another housekeeping issue - Name tags. We have several new couples who have joined the class (yea!) and we are also getting visitors frequently. Let's have a name tag revival and wear them each week. If you do not have a name tag, or have lost yours, please email Mary and she will make you a new one.
- Last class issue - our "missions" section is looking a little weak. Any suggestions for mission opportunities for our class would be greatly appreciated.
This week:
- Manna bags on sale this week.
- Lenton Series continues - Sign # 2 Birth (John 3:1-10) Jesus tells Nicodemus, "You must be 'born again'" - infamous words which have been misinterpreted and abused for years. Come and explore the meaning of these mysterious words!
- Leslie will be teaching on Parables this Sunday.
- Volunteers are needed on the 22nd to serve food for the breakfast for the homeless.
Challenge:
- First one to name the song that I quoted at the top of this post (in the comments section of this posting - by clicking on the red word "comments" below) gets a prize on Sunday.
- First one to name this song in an email response to the whole class gets kicked off the listserv.
