February 12th Announcements

THANK YOU!!!

Thank you to everyone who showed up for the clean today!  We had a great turn out (the best I've seen) and a few additional couples from other classes.  In addition to cleaning the classrooms from the floor up, we also had people on their hands and knees scrubbing base boards and cleaning stairwells.  

I am very excited for the church to see the results of everyone's hard work.

Here's the news for this week:

• Tomorrow is teacher appreciation day - make sure you say thanks to your child's teacher or care provider.  
• Mark your calendar - August 1-5th is Vacation Bible School.  Our very own Sarah is heading it up this year and looking for a partner in crime.  Please let Lara know if you would be interested in helping to organize VBS this year.

• There is a new sermon series starting tomorrow - Life Beyond Religion
• Mary will be teaching part 2 of the Five Love Languages of Children.  Here is her outline:
• Share love language assessment of our children
• Discuss the role of disciple as parents and how it can positively impact children' development
• Discuss the topic anger and how it can be channeled in positive ways so our children can learn to manage this God-given emotion
• Learn how anger, discipline and learning can be supported/managed through the five love languages
• You have two weeks to finish reading "The Shack"
